The small village of Montefalco, is located between the hills of Umbria. the city it's a small pearl of the Umbrian territory that encompasses history and culinary traditions.
Montefalco, results in an approximate '' a falcon on its nest, '' his name was given by Emperor Frederick II of Swabia, who changed the name to the city of Coccorone (now Montefalco) because of the many hawks that lived in the territory.
The medieval village is a little gem, during the visit, will be delighted by its narrow streets, palaces and churches.
Small shops will propose you the excellent Umbrian crafts, such as fabric typical of montefalco and body products made with olive oil. The wineries will offer joy to the palate and excellent gastronomic products, like wine and biologic products such as cereal, cheese, salami and much more .
Montefalco is surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. Important is the production of the famous Sagrantino di Montefalco and Montefalaco red, amazing DOCG red wines of Italy.
Here we will visit a famous winery in Montefalco, Arnaldo Caprai, with a visit to the vineyard and the winery, with wine tasting.
